Bio-Works launches WorkBeads 40 Ni for capture of histidin containing proteins. Based on a Vinnova grant Bio-Works has developed a high capacity adsorbent for histidin containing proteins. To capture histidin contining proteins (His tagged) is common practice in proteomic research. With introduction of WorkBeads 40 Ni which has at least 30% more capacity than leading products on the market productivity in proteomic research will be further enhanced.

Bio-Works Company announces OEM agreement with Knauer GmbH
Hong Kong, SAR: May 3, 2010: Bio-Works Company Limited, the developer and manufacturer of innovative molecular separations media, today announced an agreement with Knauer GmbH to be the provider of innovative agarose based chromatography gels to be used with the new Knauer BioFox line of separations columns designed for high performance protein purification.
„We have chosen the Bio-Works material, because its performance was very convincing in all our tests and it ideally goes together with our new high resolution biochromatography equipment.”, said Dr. Markus Fuchs, Head of Bioanalytics at Knauer.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bio-Works will supply pre-packed columns as well as bulk media to Knauer for incorporation into Knauer’s own column hardware. The BioFox column range will be a core component of Knauer’s newly launched Bioline biochromatography systems, which will be distributed by Knauer’s sales channel partners worldwide.
